Half-Life is a landmark first-person shooter game developed for Windows OS in 1998 that managed to redefine the way video incorporated storytelling and worldbuilding. Main Plot

The game is set in the underground top-secret research facility Black Mesa and follows the adventure of newly arrived scientist Gordon Freeman who becomes the witness of the opening of the portal to another dimension and the hostile alien force that immediately mounts an invasion of the facility. Being forced to quickly learn to handle numerous military hardware, Gordon quickly becomes a hero who will not only fight against the alien force but also the US military who was given clear orders that nothing and no one can exit the Black Mesa facility alive.
